Hello to our vibrant Uncut community!
We're always in pursuit of refining our platform to serve you better, and we're excited to share a significant update to our Explore section.
The Old Way: Recent Assets
Traditionally, the Explore section displayed the most recent assets that were added to Uncut. While this system had its merits, showcasing new art as it was introduced, it often meant that top-quality content from a few days ago was swiftly pushed down the list.
The New Approach: Most Active Assets
In our continual bid to boost user engagement and showcase high-quality content, we've shifted our focus from recency to activity. Starting now, the Explore section will spotlight the "most active" assets—those that have garnered the most likes, comments, and interactions in the last 7 days.
Here's why:
1. Highlighting Quality and Engagement: By focusing on the most active assets, we're naturally bringing forward those pieces of art that the community resonates with most—whether because of sheer aesthetic brilliance, emotional appeal, or narrative depth.
2. Extended Visibility: Great art deserves prolonged attention. This change ensures that art pieces that stir up conversations and emotions enjoy a longer stay at the top.
3. Incentive for Interaction: We believe this new sorting method will encourage more users to engage with art, knowing their likes and comments directly influence what's spotlighted in the Explore section.
But Wait, There's More!
While this is a significant change, it's only the beginning. We're currently working on a revamped Explore layout, which will offer a more diverse showcasing experience:
- Spotlight on New Artists: We recognize the importance of giving a platform to emerging talent. Our new layout will feature sections dedicated to budding artists, ensuring they receive the visibility they deserve.
- Most Engaged Assets: Beyond just active assets, we'll have dedicated spaces to highlight the content that's buzzing in terms of comments, debates, and discussions.
- New Collections: Stay tuned for a more dynamic representation of fresh collections, ensuring you're always in the loop about the latest thematic content.
Our ultimate goal remains unchanged: to create a platform where artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts converge in a symbiotic ecosystem of creativity and appreciation. We believe this new approach to the Explore section is a leap in that direction.
Thank you for being an integral part of our journey. We value your feedback, and as always, we're eager to hear your thoughts on these updates.
Stay creative and engaged!
The Uncut Team
